Connecting Data Sources

Loop Mallory in by connecting your email, calendar, and messaging apps so she can handle your scheduling.

Gmail Connection

Connecting Gmail allows Mallory to automatically detect events mentioned in your emails and add them to your family calendar.

How to connect:

  1. Go to Settings → Connect Mallory
  2. Click "Connect" next to Gmail
  3. Sign in with your Google account
  4. Grant Mallory permission to read your emails

Alternative: If you can't connect Gmail directly, you can forward emails to Mallory.

Calendar Connection

Connect Google Calendar or iCal to sync your existing events with Mallory and keep everything in one place.

Google Calendar:

  1. Go to Settings → Connect Mallory
  2. Click "Connect" next to Google Calendar
  3. Sign in with your Google account
  4. Select which calendars to sync

iCal (Apple Calendar):

  1. Go to Settings → Connect Mallory
  2. Click "Connect" next to iCal
  3. Enter your iCloud credentials
  4. Allow Mallory to access your calendar
WhatsApp Connection

Add Mallory to your family WhatsApp group so she can track events mentioned in your conversations.

How to add Mallory:

  1. Go to Settings → Connect Mallory
  2. Find Mallory's phone number
  3. Click "Add via WhatsApp"
  4. Add Mallory to your family group chat

Mallory will listen for event mentions and automatically add them to your calendar. She'll also send reminders through WhatsApp if you enable notifications.

SMS/iMessage Connection

Add Mallory to your family SMS/iMessage group to keep her in the loop via text messages.

How to add Mallory:

  1. Go to Settings → Connect Mallory
  2. Find Mallory's phone number
  3. Click "Add via SMS/iMessage"
  4. Add Mallory to your family group text

Works with both SMS (Android/cross-platform) and iMessage (Apple devices). Mallory will track events and send reminders via text.

Managing Connected Sources

You can view and manage all your connected data sources from the dashboard. Look for the icons in the top navigation bar:

  • Each icon shows how many family members have that source connected
  • Click any icon to go to settings and manage that connection
  • Hover over icons to see which family members are connected
